Quick, tell me, what time is it? Did you remember to move your clocks back an hour?
For some reason I did this year. Usually for days I don’t really know what time it is, but I’m on it this year. Here, let me give myself a pat on the pat.
And while we’re talking about time, doesn’t it pass quickly? It’s already time to get ready for this year’s CEA awards. John Fox at The Daily Beat tells us that over 3,000 ballots have already been turned in. This year’s awards show will be held at the Madison Theater in Covington on November 22.
It’s been years since we’ve had a McDonald’s in downtown Cincinnati—now Iceland is preparing for no more Big Macs. Reuters fills us in.
Sadly, Halloween is over, but is it ever really too late for “The Pumpkin Dance?” Andrew Sullivan at The Daily Dish doesn’t think so.
And in religion news. . . The Huffington Post is telling us that the Catholics are upset with Larry David. He seems Larry was peeing on Jesus. Accidents do happen, but is it an accident that the Catholics treat nuns like second-class citizens? Maureen Dowd doesn’t think so.
And in closing, The Cincinnati Nation is telling us that newly released records from the White House reveal the first visitors to visit President Obama. Guess what? Local boy George Clooney was one of the first!
Oddly enough, local “actor” Roger Ach wasn’t on the list.
