It’s been over ten years since I’ve lived in Price Hill and about that long since I’ve made Price Hill Stir Fry.
Of course the name of the dish is all made up by me and it’s something I prepared once when I was maybe a little drunk one night while living in Price Hill. This week, I prepared the dish again here in Covington (no drinking involved this time around) and it still tasted good.
Now I know this is nothing special and whatever the hell I’m doing here can’t be totally my creation, but I’m going to share how I make it anyway.
You’ll need two frozen beef hoagie patties. I always get the JTM brand but there are no hard and fast rules here.
. . . and also keep in mind that I measure nothing. It’s whatever you want to do.
Before you put those hoagies in a frying pan, in a dish, chop up some white onion—again, however much you want.
Do the same with a green pepper.
If you have any bean sprouts around, they also go good with Price Hill Stir Fry.
Put a little butter in your frying pan and start frying those two steak hoagies. As they start to cook, take a knife and cut those hoagies into strips. Turn them over a few times and get them fully cooked—again guess work applies here.
Once the hoagie strips are cooked, mix in your chopped onion, chopped green pepper and bean sprouts into the frying pan with your hoagie strips.
Add in some Worcestershire sauce and stir pretty constantly. It’s up to you how “done” you want to make this. Once you decide, take it out of the frying pan and dump it into a dish.
There you go, Price Hill Stir Fry! The photo I used here looks a little bit like it.
Drinking while preparing Price Hill Stir Fry is optional.
