Yes I know. That graphic is pretty annoying, but it’s my birthday and on most birthdays, especially as I get older, I feel like being annoying. Maybe you don’t get that—but just wait until you turn 58 and see how you feel.
One thing I’ve never done in my 58 years is research other people I share a birthday with. I didn’t spend hours doing it—maybe 10 minutes. That was enough.
So Happy Birthday to a few of us. This won’t take long.
I share a birthday with Calamity Jane. I think she was a singer. She was born in 1852. I’m assuming she’s dead.
Actor Glen Ford was born on May 1st. He doesn’t make many movies anymore. His death may have something to do with it.
Singer Kate Smith and talk show host Jack Paar are also dead, just so you know.
Actress Julie Benz is not dead, but I’ve never heard of her.
I share a birthday with folk singer Judy Collins. Once upon a time, I had a few of her albums but I’ll be damn if I know whatever happened to them.
Country singer Tim McGraw is another year older today. He’s married to another Country singer named Faith Hill. She would be nice to wake up to today—nice for Tim, not so much for me.
I have a friend named Rick who also was born on May 1st, so Happy Birthday, Rick! He’s younger than me as is most of my friends—not that I’m bitter.
OK—enough of this.
I know this post doesn’t amount to much, but it’s my birthday. Be nice and cut me some slack.

Happy birthday to you! Actually lots of Africans don’t even know their birthday, because it doesn’t matter to them much what day you were born on. So i guess star sign stuff doesn’t take off much there. And yeah, I usually feel really grumpy on my birthday!
Have a great day, my friend.
Happy Birthday, Larry. I still owe you a lunch
Wow. 58? and you still can write? I’m assuming you can still talk too, not that you know how to pick up a phone and call me
Happy ‘nother revolution around the sun Larry. Thank you for deciding to come here to planet earth and share your human experience with us. I read you often.. you make me laugh and smile. It a good thing that I get to share some small part of your life with you. Be happy, extra happy today, for the joy you have brought, the smiles and the contemplating thoughts. You are special to many of us,that’s why we keep reading your writings. Happy Day my friend!
Willow said it much better than I ever would. Happy Birthday.
I can only assume you are already drunk. Happy birthday.
Have a happy birthday Larry!!!
58 isn’t all that old, you know that. Eat, drink and be merry today.
Hell, that graphic looks almost festive. That’s not you. I agree with Will. You are already drunk.
Happy Birthday Larry. Just turned 38 the other day. First day of Spring matter of fact.
So you are a May flower. I always suspected it. Have a great day!
Larry, Larry, Larry. Grumpy on your birthday? Just another day for you! Happy Birthday sir!
