This won’t be much of a post today. With it being Mother’s Day, I feel like I need to post something related to it. Thing is, my mother is now gone. I’ll be spending the day alone.
I know my kids will be with their mother, probably going out to lunch or dinner. I hope they have a great time together. Mothers and children need to be together as much as possible even when those children are grown up.
My mother has been gone now for over ten years. I always feel a bit lost on Mother’s Day. Time marches on—nothing stays the same—but I’ll be thinking of Mom today. That’s all I can do.
Growing up, we had a troubled relationship. I’ve written about that a few times in the past and last September, I wrote about it again. You can click here to read “My Mother in September.”
Kids and moms—have a wonderful day. Dads too.
