President Obama is going to be in Cincinnati tomorrow. I’m not going to get over there to see him, but if the President would grant me an interview and even if it the interview could only be one question, I’d make the time, and hop on a Tank Bus to Cincinnati.
If I was a mainstream media kind of guy, probably the one thing I’d bring up would be Mitt Romney and his relationship with Bain Capital. I’d get the President’s thoughts on it. Sure, Obama has already commented a little, but I would ask if he thinks Romney is lying about when he stopped being CEO of that corporation. I mean, based on Romney’s past remarks on other issues, why would anyone believe what he says at all?
Yes, if I was a mainstream media person, that’s the line of questioning I’d go with. But I’m not mainstream. Hank Jr. is on my mind.
Hank Williams Jr. is at it again, again meaning stupid. Some months back he went on “Fox and Friends” and compared Obama to Hitler. Now he’s in Rolling Stone Magazine saying Obama “hates America.”
First, I’d ask President Obama to respond to Hank’s comments in general. Then, my follow-up question would be, “Mr. President, do you really give a shit what Hank Williams Jr. thinks?” I think those would be my exact words.
I kind of doubt if he does. It’s a free country and Junior can say whatever he wants, but his remarks come across as not very bright. This surprises me. Junior is a good singer and a pretty decent songwriter. What’s with all this hate for our president?
I wonder what Hank Williams Sr. would think of his son. I’m thinking of that old Waylon Jennings song, “Are You Sure Hank Done it This Way?” When it comes to reckless remarks about our President, I think Senior would tell Junior to use his brain before he speaks.
Here’s Waylon singing that song getting a little help from Johnny Cash and other friends. Hey, Hank Jr., This is what you need to be thinking about.
