When it comes to us smokers, the lay of the land these days is to treat us like second class citizens. I don’t know about you, but I get pissed about this. I also have to say I’ve kind of gotten used to it. Therefore, I’m a bit pleased when someone is sort of looking out for us.
When the Horseshoe Casino opens up downtown (well, close to downtown), the plan is to have two outdoor terraces that will be accessible from the gambling floor. Smokers can gamble, go outside for a smoke, then come back inside and do a little more gambling.
Horseshoe is “gambling” nonsmokers will go along with this, but you know how they can be.
In my view, it makes sense, much more so than that bullshit policy at the Great American Ballpark where smokers are banned everywhere. They won’t get a dime of my money, but the casino just might. It will be my way of thanking them for thinking of us and making the attempt to treat us like normal human beings.
