Last week, we were just a small little blog with decent enough traffic and if we got a handful of comments each day, we were happy about it.
Now the shit has hit the fan and I can’t turn the damn fan off!
But seriously, folks. . .
Last Wednesday, a week ago, my friend Julie and I attended the “Best Of” CityBeat party, ran into some old friends, ran into Roger Ach (not a friend) and got lost in Mt. Adams. On Friday, I decided to write about it.
Yes, of course, I was critical of Roger Ach – that’s my nature – but the post was in no way critical of CityBeat – but if other parties want to be, I’m not going to tell them to shut up. The last I heard, it was a free country.
My friend and a person who has been very good to our little blog here, Rick Hines, decided to link us up to his Cincinnati Nation web site and, in turn, had some honest but negative comments about the paper I write for.
This sparked comments on this blog – and they keep coming. Rick hit a nerve. If you want to see what you have missed so far, click here.
The comments have now even turned into phone calls. One caller asked me “Why are you letting Rick Hines control your blog?”
What bullshit. Rick can say anything he wants. He has an opinion and if he wants to link here while stating it, that’s fine with me.
And no, I’m not going to be giving my opinion at this point. The rest of you are having too much fun – why would I interrupt it?
For now, I’m just waiting for a bus in lazy downtown Cincinnati. Hey! Don’t get me started on that.
