  1. I work downtown and I seldom ever take my car. The bus is cheaper than the gas and the parking.

  2. I read your column and I see your point but for me, taking the bus downtown everyday wouldn’t be practical. During the course of any given day, I have to visit clients all over the city. Trying to take the bus would drag the day out into the night!

  3. This may come as a bit of a shock, but not everybody wants to be like you. Some of us like our cars.

  4. I’m with you. I gave up my car almost four years ago, moved to Newport to be closer to work and I walk to work!

When I need to get over to Cincinnati, and that is seldom, I hop on the tank.

I’m a bit of a nut when it comes to numbers and over the past four years I’ve kept track of the money I have saved by not owning a car.

No car payments, no car insurance, no buying gas and no “rountine” car repairs has saved me at least $6,000 for the past four years.

    Go urban people!
