Good for her! Last Sunday night, Stacey Solomon made it through to the final 24 on UK’s X Factor. To read more about it, click here.
While Stacey is from Dagenham, Essex, we here in Ohio need to get behind her. Turns out Stacey has spent some time here in the Buckeye State, performing with other college students at Stuart’s Opera House and attending Hocking College—both in Nelsonville, Ohio. Think I’m lying? Click here to find out I’m not.
I’ve written about Stacey here before (where I misspelled her name—sorry, Stacey) and it continues to be one of our most popular posts, almost beating out that rant I did on Cadillac Ranch on Monday.
In my view, video clips are for sharing, but You Tube and X Factor apparently don’t feel that way when it comes to Stacey, but let me see what I can get away with.
Here’s a video that I don’t think is copyrighted. It shows Stacey talking to some morning teevee types after her first audition.
The next one is Stacey at X Factor’s boot camp. Yeah, pretty crappy video but it’s all I can get away with.
To get better clips, of course, go to You Tube.
I don’t normally get interested in talent shows and after this one is over, I’ll never do it again—but I can’t help but root for a single mother with a one year old son. Besides, Stacey has a lot of talent.
We’ll find out if she makes it through to the final 12 this coming Sunday night. I’ve got my fingers crossed.
