I have my reasons for following Stacey Solomon’s performances on the UK’s X-Factor, one of them being she’s visited us here in Ohio. Having said that, while watching this show, I’ve come to realize why I’ve avoided talent shows in the past.
There’s a lot of tension—especially if you’re rooting for one of the contestants to win (go Stacey!). There’s also a lot of drama.
On this weekend’s two X-Factor shows, Rikki Loney got voted off. Poor Rachel Adedeji had to sing for survival for the second week in a row. Whitney Houston almost fell out of her dress, Simon Cowell made Cheryl Cole cry and those horrible no-talent twins will still be back next week.
Read more drama here.
And then we have Stacey who sang “At Last” flawlessly, took a few “hits” from Judge Simon (I take it this guy is hard to please), joked around with the host for a bit, then left the stage smiling.
No drama—just her talent shining through. That’s why I think Stacey will win this thing.
But for now, I’m off to You Tube land, gotta find that thing that Holly Willoughby does when she talks to the contestants after the show.
Will there be drama?
