First of all, I have no problem with curse words and women who use them and for that matter, men are free to let those words fly too. I just have a few thoughts on a bus ride home one afternoon last week.
Actually, it was two bus rides. The first was on a Tank bus over in Covington. The bus was crowded and a couple women were on their cell phones.
The “f” word was all over the place. The women were angry with whoever they were talking to and being very loud about it.
Getting off the Tank bus in downtown Cincinnati, I got a Metro bus to get back to Westwood. Again, I heard angry women on their cell phones cursing, mostly using that “f” word again.
The reality is those bus rides were really no different than other bus rides I’ve taken lately. I encounter a lot of pissed off women.
What’s my point? I’ve been taking the bus for a lot of years now and thinking back 20 years ago, I don’t remember witnessing and hearing so much anger on bus rides. They were mostly kind of quiet. Not now.
Of course, cell phones add to the noise on buses these days, but what the anger is all about, I don’t know. Is it women having to deal with bad men?
Maybe I should ask one of them. I probably won’t.
(For the image, I decided to go with crazy instead of angry. I like crazy better. I found it somewhere on Google)
