Here’s some good news for the Oakley area. Next summer, there will be a 16-screen movie theater located at Oakley Station. Click here to get the details.
I know I’ve written about this before, probably in CityBeat, but this is my blog and I can do whatever I want. I just want to ask the question again: Why can’t we have a movie theater downtown?
When I first moved to Cincinnati back in the early 70’s, there were at least four movie theaters in downtown Cincinnati. I remember going to the Times Cinema, Skywalk Cinema and one located on Race Street. They were usually packed with people.
Before somebody accuses me of living in the past, I just want to say with more and more people moving downtown, a movie theater, to me, makes sense. Looking at the past now could mean being a bit progressive for the future of downtown.
It’s just a thought.
