When I lived in Westwood, my apartment wasn’t exactly in an urban setting. When I walked to the store, I was walking a number of blocks and during that walk, I got used to all the barking dogs in the neighborhood. When I moved to Covington, I thought I would be done with all that barking.
For the first month or so, that was the case. No more. I’m now putting up with a barking dog.
I can’t really figure it out. It’s coming from the right of my apartment building. I never walk that way as Madison Avenue is to my left, but I hear the dog barking as other people pass my building which is a mytery as that property to my right is also an apartment building. Why is that dog outside all the time?
A few nights ago, the dog kept me up past two in the morning. I started counting the barks, thinking that would put me to sleep. It didn’t.
I have no idea what the dog looks like but I think this week, that will change. I indeed to find the dog, make friends with him or her, then pull out that roll of duct tape from my pocket and tape him or hers mouth shut. This won’t scare me. Barking dogs never bite.
