  1. A few years ago, when that “hurricane” blew through our area, I had a portable radio, plenty of candles, matches and a flashlight with fresh batteries. Power was out for three days. The weather, though, was mild, and I spent much of the time reading. The whole experience was relaxing. Lost some food, but saved some of it by filling my cooler with ice, and I managed to keep my beer cool. Overall, the peace and quiet was a positive change from the constant info bonbardment we’ve all gotten too used to.

  2. To me, there is nothing more relaxing than turning off lights and having an entire room lit with candles.l Guess you can call me a candle person 🙂

  3. Well that explains whey you wern’t picking up our phone the other day. You need to have an independent phone and not one tied to your computer. I’m half tempted to just buy you a cheap cell phone. Some of us worry about you.

  4. Is there anything new with the LOL colum going in Article 25?

I want to say while I miss the column so much, I’m really liking this blog. It’s sort of like a blow by blow statement of your daily life and what’s going on with you. Keep doing what you are doing.
