I was over at the Jezebel blog yesterday reading a post about a person living in an apartment building who thought a neighbor was a prostitute. This person thought the prostitute was conducting business right there in the building. You can click here to read the post.
First off, the writer says most people don’t aspire to live in apartment buildings. Hey, speak for yourself, buddy. I’ve owned two “homes” in my life and frankly prefer apartment living. I like having neighbors close and the feel of apartment living. So there.
It turns out in the Jezebel post that this neighbor wasn’t actually a prostitute but prostitutes have to live somewhere. In fact, until recently, I had one living in my building here in Covington.
I write about her in a column in Article 25 that will be out in a few days. She’s not the entire story, but she’s mentioned in the column. I don’t know if she was conducting business in my building—I think she was mostly on the street—but it wouldn’t bother me if she did it here. I mean, it’s her business. The way I look at it, people in my building have sex all the time. Most don’t get paid for it but I think you know what I mean.
On duty or off duty, at least my neighbor got to sit down once in a while. That’s not the case over and around Madison Avenue in Covington. I’m going to write about that tomorrow here. Yes, two posts about prostitutes in a row!
