Looks like Cincinnati is going to be featured in a new NBC sitcom this fall. The network has ordered 13 episodes of “Save Me,” starring Anne Heche. I don’t feel like writing about the details of the show as I have something else on my mind. Click here to get that information.
What’s on my mind and what I find amusing or confusing or annoying is this show is set in the fictional suburb of “Indian Hills.” The guy who created the show is from this area and a lot of his buddies are from Indian Hill, so that explains the name of the suburb.
Those who will watch “Save Me” outside of this area probably won’t know that Indian Hill is a pretty fancy suburb in Cincinnati. How many friends do you have who live there? I admit, I have one, but he and his wife have one of those smaller houses in Indian Hill if there really is such a thing.
Do you think “Indian Hills” will show a real life suburb here in Cincinnati? Time will tell, but if they base this on the real Indian Hill, it’s going to be something I’m not going to relate to. Real life doesn’t happen in that suburb.
Why not base it in Westwood? Beechmont? I consider Walnut Hills a real suburb—maybe call it “Walnut Hill?”
I know. It’s just a sitcom and it doesn’t really matter, still I think I’ll head up to Indian Hill to see if the suburb has changed. Maybe now it does reflect real life in this area.
I probably won’t be back in time to do a post for tomorrow. It’s gonna take a while to get to and from Indian Hill by bus. See you Saturday.
