Larry King plans on returning to television this summer—or I should say digital television. He’s signed a deal with Ora.TV for his “Larry King Now” show. Click here to read more about it.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. I have never been a Larry King fan. No, I don’t hate the guy or anything, but I don’t like his softball questions. That’s why Larry could always get big name guests on his show. They were safe with him. It’s like being interviewed by your grandfather who’s feeding you ice cream.
King is 78 years old. After 25 years, CNN canceled his show because of declining ratings and maybe also for the fact that he’s a bit old to be doing a nightly talk show. Maybe King can’t take a hint.
You know what they said (whoever “they” is): You can’t go back—but King is going to give it a shot.
In my view, Larry, you don’t really need to come back, but I’m curious. When King comes to digital television this summer, will you be watching?
