Whenever I buy milk, I always try to check the expiration date on that plastic container to see how many days I have to drink it. When it gets close to that “times up” period, I’ve been known to sniff the milk. I don’t think I always trust my nose. Probably more than a few times, I’ve thrown good milk out.
I also check the expiration date when I buy a carton of eggs but I don’t get uptight about it like I do with milk, usually because the eggs are long gone before that date arrives. If I’ve got eggs in the house, they go pretty fast.
But I seldom check expiration dates on any other kinds of food. That’s why I found this article from The Huffington Post kind of interesting. Yes. I’m sharing it with you.
