I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve written about Tower Place Mall over in Downtown Cincinnati. If I weren’t feeling lazy this morning, I’d look up an old column I wrote for CityBeat about how no one knew it was even there. You know, no sign around the property promoting the mall at all. I’m shocked it lasted as long as it did.
The City of Cincinnati has purchased the property. Click here to read more about it.
There are only two tenants left at Tower Place Mall. The I Love Cincinnati Shoppe is still there. I somehow doubt if a person who loves Cincinnati is going to go into a mostly deserted mall to purchase a keepsake.
The other tenant is Subway, down at the lower level food court. It’s the only eatery still open. Yeah, I bet their food is nice and fresh with all that foot traffic.
It will be interesting to see what happens to this property. Suggestion to the City of Cincinnati: Whatever you do with it, let people know it exists. Put a damn sign up.
