Sometimes you can find good deals on cereal at Walgreens or at least at the one on Madison Avenue in Covington. I’ve said this before.
Last week on sale was Fiber One Cereal made by General Mills. It’s bran cereal and it was just two bucks. What the hell? I purchased it.
This morning, I opened it up, was going to have some for breakfast. I looked over the box to find out more about the cereal.
On the box, down to the right, it says, “14 grams of fiber.” I guess this is a good thing.
The picture on the box kind of shows what the cereal looks like, but you mostly see strawberries and blueberries and not actually the cereal so much. I didn’t think much of it at the time.
I opened up the box. Inside were two separate wrappers for the cereal instead of the usual one. I’ve never been this before.
The cereal itself looks like little brown sticks. When I first saw what it looks like, two words came out of my mouth: Dog food. Now I’m thinking dry dog food.
I closed the cereal box. I had Cheerios instead.
So, I have fiber in my kitchen. It’s in a box on top of my microwave oven along with other boxes of cereal. I have a feeling it’s going to stay there for a long time.
