  2. On some birthdays I feel that baggage and on others, I don’t. Seems like writing this post helped you work through it. I think I need to be doing this too.

  3. I can relate to what you are saying. The older you get the more loved ones you lose but as you say you learn to go on. I take a lot of comfort in knowing that I WILL see these people again.

  4. I just had a birthday, and I’m older than you. But I quit counting after turning 40 with two small kids. This was a great piece because you went from gloomy to optimistic in a few paragraphs, and that’s what doing what you love can do for you. Keep writing, keep living, and Happy Birthday to you.
