No, it’s not exactly news and if anything it’s kind of boring, but I haven’t used the “News” category here for a while, so I’ll consider it something that might me in the papers today or on the teevee. Yes, this is more than a stretch.
1,600 is a lot of posts but what’s in a number? The reality is I’ve written more than 1,600 posts here. Some have been so bad; I never did get around to posting them. They’re still there in the workings of WordPress all ready to come to life, but they will remain dead. There are also a few I put up here, then decided I didn’t like them and took them down. Maybe some of you are thinking I should take them all down. No, that’s too much work.
A friend once asked me if I remember everything I write. Kind of a silly question don’t you think? For CityBeat, I’ve written hundreds of columns. I remember some of them, but not all. Now, here, I’ve written 1,600 blog posts, more or less. I’ll give the same answer, but my memory is even worse when it comes to blog posts. I wonder if Andrew Sullivan over at “The Dish” has this same problem.
I used to do seven blog posts a week, now I’m down to five which I think is better for everybody. You know, less bad posts. This is Friday and my fifth one for the week. Therefore, my next post will be on Sunday—No. 1,601, again, more or less.
Like always, thanks for reading. It’s appreciated. I know this post basically sucks, but if you can stay awake, you should read it now and not put it off. I may come back here later and delete it.
