  1. All I can say is this “star” sets a very poor example for are young girls. It is very disappointing.

  2. I am a little too old to care much about Miley or MTV for that matter, but based on the image you are putting up here I don’t think I am missing all that much. I agree with you that this is NOT about music.

  3. Cyrus, or at least the people around her, are trying to rid her of the “Hannah Montana” image. In that regard, her MTV performance worked, but it has created other problems. It was very much over kill and maybe it will kill her career. A bad choice.

  4. You are not an idiot. Syria is a much more important story than this Miley Cyrus girl.

  5. Both Cyrus and Robin Thicke are talentless tools looking for attention of any kind. The less of that paid to them will make them disappear sooner.

  6. Miley Cyrus had proven to the world that she knew how to sing and knew how to write some very good songs. Now she has proven to the world that she has fallen off a cliff. It’s a pity.

  7. She looks like a gal you would find on a street corner in Covington. Maybe those people in Walgreen’s know her.

  8. I watched the show with some girlfriends and not a one of us thought Miley’s performance was entertaining. It was just shocking and a little disturbing. I was never a true fan and now I’m not at all.

  9. RN, how dare you compare Miley with those Covington “gals.” You’re giving the “gals” a bad name.

  10. I can’t help but notice that you wrote something very touching about Martin Luther King yesterday that did not get a big response, but today you wrote about Miley Cyrus and her tongue hanging out and you are getting a big response. I find that sad.

  11. Let’s see, the ratings for the awards show were up 80% and everybody is still talking about Miley Cyrus. Her mission was accomplished.

  12. No one here has yet mentioned that Cyrus looks like an idiot during her performance. Let me be the first to say that.
