You know, it’s damn true. The older you get, the more time flies. I didn’t realize until yesterday that this was Labor Day Weekend and time for the P & G Riverfest and the fireworks. The banging starts at 9:05 PM.
Actually, I still call this the WEBN Fireworks. I’m old school.
Where I’m living here in Covington, Kentucky, there’s a courtyard what would have a pretty good view of the river and the fireworks, but everybody and their mother will probably be out there tonight, so I won’t be. I’m not big on crowds.
A lady, who I think kind of likes me, wink—wink, lives on one of the upper floors in my building. She tells me she has an excellent view of the river and has invited me up to her apartment to watch the fireworks. I told her thanks but no thanks. I won’t watch the banging on the river from there and there won’t be any “banging” in her place either—at least not with me.
I’m thinking the only banging I’m going to see today or tonight is that GIF I put up here on this post. That’s gonna have to do.
