Smoking marijuana is legal now for recreational use in Colorado and Washington and legal in many states for medical purposes, so a trend seems to be developing. Pretty soon, I’ll be able to walk to the Walgreens here in Covington, Kentucky and purchase a pack of weed. Saying “pretty soon” is probably wrong, but it is coming.
When I go for walks here in Covington, there is often weed in the air. In other words, I smell it. I don’t care and I don’t think the cops care either. This is troubled Downtown Covington. The police have bigger fish to fry.
I think the last time I got “high” was in Covington but I wasn’t living here at the time. I was still in Cincinnati but was in an office over here doing some freelance work. The boss, yes the boss, pulled out a joint and started smoking it. He offered it to me and I took some hits and it was all fine, but in my old age, I can take it or leave it. I mostly leave it.
I came across this article on Cracked and I’m sharing 5 reasons legalized marijuana might be bad for smokers. Keep in mind this is from a comedy magazine, so don’t take it all that seriously.
The war on drugs is over. Finally. As far as I’m concerned, go ahead and smoke your marijuana. It should have been made legal years ago.
