The freezers in their frozen food section have been “acting up” recently, like really over freezing the food with water actually reaching the floor where customers can slip and fall. I’m not sure why I’m mentioning this as I don’t think it has anything to do with those frozen chicken wings except for the fact that those wings are in one of those freezers that is “acting up.”
Anyway, I don’t buy the Nice brand of honey bar-b-que flavored chicken wings very often, but when I went to grab a box of them the other day down there at the corner of happy and healthy, the box was empty. It was the only box left. I showed it to an employee stocking the shelves.
Apparently, this is a daily problem at the Walgreens in Covington. Customers come in, take chicken wings out of the boxes, stick them in their pockets and walk out of the store. A manager has confirmed this for me.
Now with these people just sticking these chicken wings in their pockets, they’re not getting the cooking instructions written on the box. I’m just going to assume when they get home with their bar-b-que chicken wings, they go to their laptop and do a Google search on how to prepare them.
Oh, that probably isn’t true. I mean if they have to steal frozen chicken wings out of a box at Walgreens, chances are they don’t own a laptop. That’s my guess.
