That’s me—the one on the left—with the last goose I baked. This picture was taken when I was living in Westwood, so it’s been a little bit since I’ve prepared goose. It’s a little time consuming but it’s always worth it. Maybe this fall or winter—maybe around Thanksgiving—I’ll cook my first goose here in Covington, Kentucky.
The first goose I ever prepared was back in the winter of 2005. I have writer Richard Ford to thank for that.
OK, changing the subject just a little bit, but the topic is still a goose. . .
You know a goose can be a pretty mean bird, especially when the female has eggs in her nest. The video down below I’ve probably watched a dozen times (maybe you have too, but I’m sharing anyway), but I always get a laugh out of it.
My goose was cooked. So was this guy’s. Gee, I’m such a card.
