My son was over a few nights ago. He and his girlfriend have just returned from Hawaii where they were on vacation for ten days or so. I’ve never been to Hawaii and at this point in my life, don’t expect to be. That’s OK. I’ll live my life through my son. No—no pressure here at all!
Anyway, he got me this bag of coffee when he was there. It’s from the Bad Ass Coffee Company and its 100% Kona coffee, coffee certified h27510. I have no idea what the certified number means. Just thought I’d throw it in.
I don’t remember how the subject came up, but we started talking about Starbucks and the price of their coffee. My son ended up telling me how much he paid for that bag of coffee from the Bad Ass Coffee Company.
For eight ounces of Kona coffee, it cost him $28. Here, let me type this in bold. $28.
I have never had coffee that will be made from my own coffee maker this expensive. It’s almost a little scary.
No, I haven’t opened the bag yet, but I can smell the coffee without even opening it. It smells like coffee heaven.
I’m going to finish off my Kroger—Breakfast Blend Coffee first. Something tells me the next type of coffee I’ll be drinking will be a tiny bit better than that stuff.
