I don’t know if Burt Reynolds is broke or not, but he’s selling off a bunch of his stuff—over 600 personal items on December 11th and 12th in Las Vegas. You can click here to learn more about it and then you can book your plane ticket.
I won’t be going. It’s not that I’m not interested in memorabilia, it’s because I’m not interested in Burt Reynolds. I don’t want to own a piece of him.
I’m not a fan. I know he’s 78 years old now, so I’m not going to be too hard on him, but I never considered him much of an actor. I did and still do consider him a jerk.
All these years later, I’m still a bit pissed as to how he treated “our” Loni Anderson. You know, she worked here—worked at radio station WKRP.
OK, she didn’t really work here at all, but she has ties to this area because she was on that teevee show based in Cincinnati. That’s reason enough for me to like her and not Burt.
So count me out on Burt’s auction. However, if one of you buys his 1977 “Bandit” Pontiac Trans Am, I wouldn’t mind going for a ride in it.
