So what’s ahead for you in 2015? When you get to be my age and have a few health issues, you don’t really make long-range plans—you just kind of hope for the best—but there are a few things I know for certain here in the New Year.
I moved into my current apartment here in Covington, Kentucky at the end of January, 2013. I’ve already signed another lease that will take me through to January, 2016. Even if I die tomorrow, I’ll have a place to do it in.
I know for certain I will keep writing. I told a friend last night, that I intend to write a book every year until I’m dead. I think I’ve said that here too. I think my friend thought I was kidding. I’m not and don’t you think I’m joking around either.
For 15 to 20 minutes a day, every day, I play my mandolin. I don’t see that changing in 2015.
A few years ago, I made the attempt to give up coffee. That didn’t take. I’m certain I’ll continue to drink coffee this year.
I know for certain I will continue to read books in 2015. I’m currently reading Joan Didion’s “The Year of Magical Thinking.” I’m wondering why it has taken me this long to read it. It’s a great book.
I will continue to vape and not smoke in 2015.
There are some other things that I know for certain, but I’ll stop now. I’m starting to bore even myself.
