I sometimes tell people I’m simply too old to learn how to text, but the fact of the matter is, I know perfectly well how to do it. I’ve done it while feeling like it’s the worst kind of communication there is. No more.
I said in the Facebook post that I’ll read those text messages I receive, but my reply will be in the form of calling you back. I want to imagine your face when I’m responding and not your thumbs moving around on a cell phone.
When it comes to cell phones, I’m a pretty simple guy. I know what an iPhone is, but I don’t have one. I know what a Blackberry phone is and I don’t have one of those either. Perhaps this is just as well as apparently they have “gone out of style” or so a friend tells me.
My cell phone is a cheap one. I can get to the internet on it and maybe I’ve done this once just to see if I could. I seldom take pictures on it. Basically, I have my cell phone for one reason: to make and receive calls.
OK—maybe that’s two reasons, but you get my point.
Done for today. See ya’ll on Thursday.
