The last couple times I’ve been down to the corner of happy and healthy—that’s the Walgreens in Covington, Kentucky—they’ve been out of the small plastic bags that they put your purchases in. They’ve been using the larger plastic bags.
“I’m sorry for the large bag,” a cashier said as she was putting my stuff in it.
“Don’t be,” I said. “I use those large bags as trash can liners in my kitchen. They always get recycled.”
And they do. I’ve got four of them saved up right now. I’ll use those large plastic Walgreens bags as trash can liners until I use them up—then I’ll go to the Dollar Tree Store and get real trash can liners.
If you think I’m thinking cheap when it comes to trash can liners, you’d be thinking right.
