The “show” is still on at Motr Pub tonight. You can click here to get most of the information you need.
I’ve written down—have put together notes as to what I’ll be saying tonight. I’ve even rehearsed those words a couple times which is mostly silly as it will probably go out the window as I start talking at seven o’clock tonight.
Yep, a public appearance. I’ve done a few of them as a writer and they will always seem odd to me. Who the hell gives a shit as to what I have to say? Maybe a few of you do, but you can read what’s on my mind. You don’t need to come and see me say it.
That last paragraph isn’t a good way to encourage you all to come see me tonight is it? As usual, I’m my own worst enemy. Forget I wrote it.
The photo up above was taking by a “fan” when I did a reading at The Public Library in Downtown Cincinnati in the fall of 2009. That’s what the person called themselves, a “fan.” I would rather have them say, “I read you sometimes,” but that’s four words instead of one.
I realize I’m doing a lot of whining here. That’s probably because I’m nervous about tonight. Why I whine the rest of the time, I’m not sure.
Hope to see you at Motr Pub.
