As I’ve mentioned here before, on most mornings, I head over to Northern Kentucky to do a freelance job. Over the past several weeks, I’ve noticed a word being used in conversations that I haven’t heard in a while.
Most people when they don’t understand something being said to them, say “Pardon me?” or “Excuse me?” I’m not hearing those words over across the river. What I’m hearing is “Huh?”
So here’s my question.
Here in Cincinnati, we say “Please?” a lot. That’s a Cincinnati thing. Is “Huh?” a Northern Kentucky thing?
