Self-Promotion, to me, sucks. It’s like screaming and yelling and saying “Hey, hey, look over here, look at me! Look how good I am!”
Having said that, I realize that if a person wants to sell books, selling one’s self is kind of necessary. That’s the one thing about being a writer that I don’t like. The actually joy is in the writing itself.
But anyway. . .
I’m linking up to a story that Streetvibes did on me a few weeks back. Some people have been asking about this.
I’ve been interviewed more than a few times, but what made this one fun is the fact that my good friend, Gregory Flannery, did the interview.
Click here to get to Streetvibes, then go to page 5 to read the interview. It continues on page 13.
Actually, I hope you take the time to read the whole paper. Streetvibes is a damn fine publication.
People are asking me when I’m going to do book signings. I know from the last book I had published, with book signings, you never know if 100 people will show up or if 2 people will show up. I don’t feel like going down that road again.
Instead, we’ll have a major “event” in early October. Details of this “event” will be coming in the next few days.
Meanwhile, while you’re waiting for this announcement, continue reading “Living Out Loud” or if you don’t have it yet, click here to order it. I suggest ordering a dozen copies.
