My “rant” on this recently passed health care reform bill isn’t going to happen.
Me, like so many others that I know, really wanted that public option. I mean if you’re going to change health care, why not really change it and help all the people and not just most?
But I’ve cooled down. This reform is a step in the right direction and I’ll take it. I’ve come to realize that real change in this country is hard for a lot of people to take—especially with some of those on the right.
Why are some of these people so damn crazy? Threats and vandalism are now taking place about this health care reform passage and our Rep. Steve Driehaus, who finally woke up to the fact that he should vote for this change, is now fearing for his family’s safety because a local right wing blogger posted Driehaus’s address on his blog urging people to pay Driehaus a visit.
Does the GOP think these kinds of activities will help them with the next election? Anyone who can put a thought together will quickly conclude no. It makes those on the right look like bullies and totally out of touch with the needs of this country. It makes them look like backward hicks.
Sorry. I guess there was a “rant” in me after all.
