Actor Peter Graves passed away Sunday. He’s probably better known for his long running “Mission: Impossible” television series, but whenever I think of Peter Graves, I always think of the movie “Airplane!”
This movie had to be released about 30 years ago—that’s my guess. Critics tore it apart when it came out and yeah, it was pretty dumb but I also laughed my ass off.
Here’s a video of Peter Graves in the movie and some of his best scenes.
Maybe it’s just me, but despite the fact this move is three decades old, the humor still holds up.

no way jackula! i’m 33 and have loved that movie since i was a kid!
Maybe I’m dating myself too, but I still have a Beta VCR that still works. Guess what movie I slip into my old Beta now and then? Airplane!
Jackula, classic movies never get dated and this one is a classic.
I have watched this movie and least a dozen times and I still laugh. A classic!
Airplane is a total scream. Thanks for the clip. It brought it all back.
